Back From The Hospital

Stereotypical Instagram collage of my experiences at the hospital
For the last couple of days I've been an intern in both an ulcer clinic and a hospital. These past days at the clinic and the hospital were hectic but overall, rewarding. The days started off at the ulcer clinic, where we tended to numerous elderly patients with various types of ulcers (wounds that wont heal or wounds that keep reappearing). My tasks consisted mainly of observing how the doctor treated the wound, passing instruments when required, filing, and such. The day was so packed that we barely had time to eat but as cheesy as it may sound I feel that it was worth it. When we finished with the patients, they were so optimistic and willing to do anything for a prompt recovery, that hunger had no importance to me. After we finished with the patients at the ulcer clinic (some cases were more dramatic than others because some had more necrotic tissue, some had worsened because the patient didn't follow instructions, we also received patients that were fully healed and were there for their last check up)we moved on to the hospital where we saw a special patient that was an all in one combo pack. This man had numerous diseases, when we got to his room the doctor did a routine check up and sent him to do more tests. I stood by and heard what the doctor was saying and did as she requested. These activities were repeated for a couple of days. On another note, I just arrived at my house(because the hospital was two hours away from my house and I was staying elsewhere to be near it)and I can't recall a moment where I have felt more exhausted than right now. It's a good kind of exhaustion though,  I feel like I learned, I feel like I helped, I feel useful. I'm gonna go to sleep now it's really late and I might fall asleep on the keyboard. Sorry if this is incoherent. Bye.
This is what an ulcer looks like
